it's hard to encapsulate the day's event in a single paragraph. but what i can say it's that it has been an enriching and fulfilling day for both the volunteers and kids. (: thanks to my dear friends (sharon, eileen, cecs & chin guan) and my mei who have kindly forked out precious time tohelp out in this event.

on the bus journey home, i saw a kid sleeping on eileen's shoulders. aww. it amazes me how fast a bond can develop between the kids & volunteers. and im quite sure the memories of that day will linger deepin those young minds.

i could have enjoyed the trip more if i hadnt worn that new pair of shoes.

arghs. painful blisters.

my feet struggled through a hellish survivor race. BUT triumphed! :D though i do feel apologetic towards charles and weilin who had to slow down their pace and attend to my incessant complains abt the pain. sorry my frens.

on a hindsight, there are certain areas that could have been improved on, such as the registration process for both kids & volunteers and the difficulty of the quizzes. i heard that it was too high a level for the kids.

nevertheless, i've truly enjoyed planning and executing this event tog with weilin and charles. the laughter we shared, the lame jokes we cracked, the agony & frustration we swallowed, the tiredness we endured...this has ended with smiles and anticipation of the next children's holiday event at the end of the year. we promise of a better programme that will be a blast! (:
